USACO for noobs

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

I dug up this computer contest, and like the title says, it’s best described as USACO for noobs.

I’m not sure, but it looks like your school has to enter, and it’s a team endeavor.

The questions are incredibly easy though. Each contest is just 4 questions that don’t involve coding, and only ask you what some code does, or tests your knowledge of logic, or something along those lines.

Then there’s one programming question. I didn’t get a good look at all the questions, but I cracked open the question on one of the senior division contests, and it could easily be solved by brute force. Yep. If you know what hello world is, you have a good shot in the contest.

In case of zombies, read post.

So, it’s been a little while since I posted, so I figured I’d show some old news.

Some Canadian researchers did a mathematical experiment about zombies.

Their findings are written here, but to sum up, humanity must survive the zombies by killing them all the time.

But of course, they only considered classic slow zombies. In other words, humanity is screwed if Left 4 Dead ever happens.
